Celebrate National Women's History Month with a special staged reading of “The Diary of Anne Frank.” When the Nazis invaded The Netherlands in 1940s, 9 Jewish people were forced into hiding to escape persecution. This play, based on the diary of one of those people, a 13 year old girl named Anne, will be performed at the Library by professional actors and directed by Seth Kamenow, Technical Director for the Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center. This performance is presented by Lit Live, a local theater company operating under the umbrella of It's A New Day. Lit Live’s mission is to make great literature come alive. Full productions of this play will run at the Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center on April 22 and 23. The content of this play is appropriate for ages 11 and older.
