Check Out Items

A library card is used to check out items at Simi Valley Public Library. There is a total limit of 30 items per library card at one time.

As of May 2019, items checked out from Simi Valley Public Library will be part of an auto-renewal system. This means that an account in good standing will automatically renew DVDs and video games one time and all other items three times. If an item is on hold for another customer, it cannot be renewed. Materials borrowed from other library branches may have different loan periods and renewal allowances. 

Opting into our email notifications allows patrons to receive email notices from SVPL. This means that patrons will be automatically emailed when their library item has been automatically renewed. Please feel free to ask any staff member for assistance with setting up email notifications.
