Our online resources are accessible at our library or anytime online via our website with a Simi Valley Public Library card. When accessing the databases it is necessary to have a library card and PIN ready as it will be necessary to provide this information to gain access to the databases.

Provided by the Center for Bibliographical Studies and Research (CBSR) through the University of Riverside, this digital newspaper collection contains over 1.5 million pages of historical California newspapers from 1846 to present.

Enjoy complimentary access to the New York Times.
While in the library, simply go to nytimes.com.
For remote access, use this remote access link.
  1. Click "Redeem" to get 72 hours of unlimited access.
  2. Create an account with your personal e-mail address, or click "Log in" if you've already created an account.
The 72-hour pass is renewable after expiration. Repeat Step 2 for another 72 hours of remote access.
